Annette Moser, Administrative Assistant

Since March 2004, Annette Moser has served Wingate Baptist Church as Administrative Assistant. Annette grew up in Pageland, SC and graduated from Pageland High School. Prior to Wingate Baptist Church, Annette worked 22 years in administrative positions with major manufacturing corporations and 2 years in administrative positions with insurance agencies. Annette enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Sally Williams, Daycare Director and Adult Ministry Coordinator

Since 1996, Sally has served as the Director of Wingate Baptist Church's Early Childhood Program. Sally grew up in Monroe, NC, and received her Early Childhood Certificate at SPCC. She has been in the childcare field for twenty-six years, having owned her own center and directed the Infant/Toddler program at the Jewish Community Center before being hired at Wingate Baptist Daycare. In October of 2010, Sally was hired part-time as the Adult Ministry Coordinator along with her full-time position as the Child Care Director. In addition to enjoying time with family and friends, Sally enjoys reading, theatre, and spending time in the mountains where she feels her spirit come alive with the first scent of mountain laurel.

Dr. J. Derrill Smith, Pastor

Since 2001, Derrill has served Wingate Baptist Church as Pastor. He grew up in Seneca, SC, and received training at Anderson College, Southern Wesleyan University, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY (Master of Divinity), and Erskine Seminary (Doctor of Ministry). During seminary training in Louisville, Derrill served as the Pastor of Pond Run Baptist Church in Echols, Kentucky, followed by an Associate Pastorate at College Street Baptist Church in Walhalla, SC, Pastor of Return Baptist Church in Seneca, SC, and Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Asheville, NC. In addition to relishing time with family, Derrill enjoys an assortment of outdoor sports and reading.
Polly Bostic, Pianist/Organist
Since the fall of 1996, Polly has served Wingate Baptist Church as church organist. She grew up in Atlanta, Ga., Sarasota, Orlando,and Tampa, Fl. She received training at Stetson University, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Music). She served as pianist at Bay Ceia Baptist Church, Tampa, Florida and Bethel Baptist Church, White Settlement, Texas. For a period of time she was a freelance church organist. She enjoys swimming and reading and being with family.
Dr. Ron Bostic, Minister of Music
Ron has served at Wingate Baptist Church since 1981 as the Minister of Music. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1967, Stetson University in 1971, Florida State University in 1973, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1976. His first job was at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California from 1976-78. He joined the faculty at Wingate University in 1978 and serves as the Chair of the Department of Music. Wingate Baptist is the tenth church he has assisted on a part-time basis.
Ron and Louise Glover, Co-Coordinators of Children's Ministry
Since October 2010, Louise has served Wingate Baptist Church as part-time Children's Ministry Co Leader. She grew up in Sumter, SC and received training at Presbyterian College and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education. Louise has served Presbyterian and Baptist congregations in Huntsville, AL and Wilmington, NC. Louise enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
Since October 2010, Ron has served Wingate Baptist Church as part-time Children's Ministry Co Leader. He grew up in Apex, NC and the Southern Pines area and received training at Duke University, Southern Seminary and Gordon-Conwell Seminary. Ron has served at Masonboro Baptist Church in Wilmington and First Baptist Church of Monroe. Ron enjoys reading, playing the piano and organ and watching Andy Griffith Reruns.
